Happy birthday! I hope you have a fun day.

I live in a third world country where plant milks just recently got into normal markets.

Even the catalogue for the local vegan shop doesn't have any butters.

This very much depends on where you live. Never seen vegan butter in my city but there are homemade vegan butter recipes, generally using soy milk, coconut oil(naturally saturated) and some other things like emulsifiers.

Edit: Apparently this is not the comm for recipes sorry.

Tahini with grape or carob molasses. I also mix in seeds like chia.

Acuka is also good.

I live outside the West and people who want to move to the United States know basically nothing about it. I've never seen one acknowledge homelessness, people who need multiple jobs, healthcare costs etc.

I might be the most anti-USA person I know because I have a lot of USian friends to explain the experience first-hand.

Human Metapneumovirus is a virus with symptoms resembling the common cold. China is apparently having an upsurge of cases.

This doesn't seem to be the Covid "like the common cold", it's been around for at least 60 years.

Using a Xiaomi 10A, can confirm it has all three slots. I am happy with it after a year of using it but battery might die faster than five years.

This started for me(Firefox + UBlock Origin) months ago right around the time Youtube started attacking Ublock so I assumed that was the reason for the lag. Had my whole computer crash because of it. Using alternative front-ends consistently since then.

Anything that goes "This character is having a dream and all of the show is fake!" is terrible. It can barely be called a theory. There are some specific media where it makes sense to speculate what was real and what wasn't but "Ash is a kid in a coma and is dreaming up Pokémon" no you wanted to post an edgy thing and couldn't get better material.

People coming here to say this don't seem to understand we hate both candidates, vast majority of American politicians and the entire American political system.

I am personally not in the West and the identity of the president affects nothing here. I do know trans people in America and I was hoping Kamala would win, even if I was too disgusted by her stance on Palestine, until I learned her actions as a prosecutor and "we should follow the law" statement on trans people, showing she would not be a hardliner on trans issues. That was the one advantage she might've had over Trump.

It is because the candidates are both hateworthy and ghoulish that it's funny to laugh at people who are convinced one of them is morally pure or advantageous for the average person. We also had a few laughs at chuds who thought Trump was anti-war.

tl;dr Trump indeed bad. The issue isn't that Trump good but that acting like Trump is the worst person in American politics or a root cause of the current problems is rather bizarre.

For me it's a regular Wednesday and crazy frog is a normal frog. Just a look into my fucked up world.

Jokes aside happy birthday! penguin-love

I'm not sure if this is the best place but I don't know where else I could talk about something like this. I know that my style of masculinity is toxic but I've never gotten good advice on how to overcome it as a trans man.

The assumption that trans men don't have toxic masculinity because "they got socialized as women" is a common one in trans spaces and not only does it not apply to me, the implication that trans men are softer men pisses me off and digs me deeper.

Lore time: I internalized masculine norms throughout my isolated childhood. I knew and insisted I was a boy from an early age and my behaviour got me isolated and bullied by my female peers. I was also mistreated a lot for being queer.

My main problem is being insecure because of dysphoria combined with the transphobia I've received, pushing me to toxic competitive behaviour that runs the risk of alienating my friends. However, compared to the attitudes I've faced and still face in real life, affirmation from queer spaces about how men don't need to be one way feel detached from reality. How can I not be insecure when I've been bullied for my whole life and none of that would've happened if my body wasn't female? If I said that doesn't matter wouldn't it be cope?

Tl;dr what do when toxically masculine as a trans man in very transphobic irl corcumstances? I would especially appreciate examples of masculine-presenting men who didn't engage in masculinity as a competition. If post is too big wall of text or just too many personal details tell me and I'll trim.
