This is all just standard operating procedure for the overwhelming majority of towing companies. They're entirely unaccountable, extralegal entities that have no oversight and the ability to disappear your shit for any or no reason. There is no recourse, and the greatest penalty that can be enacted upon them is suspending their business license, which has zero effect on their ability to just keep towing shit exactly like this.

They're effectively allowed to act like modern-day high seas pirates and ransom your car or bike for an arbitrary amount of money. They're responsible for self-enforcing the locally specified towing rate limits, and their lying is just to be expected. The only thing anyone can actually do about any of this is to file a lawsuit in small claims court to get their car back, but the court will almost certainly side in favour of the company.

What I'm saying is, someone could make significant money by creating a towing company or even just getting a job at one and using that power specifically to harass their local chuds.

Chicken on sale at 99 cents a pound

Dude what store I will road trip for prices like that. Last time I was in the grocery store, chicken was like $6/lb by me. A rotisserie chicken costs more than my entire gigabit internet bill.

For just pennies per day, you can help a fascist paramilitary in need.

The simulation is running out of plot ideas, and it's just rehashing and remaking the same episodes over and over again.

Bad sitcom, 1/10 stars. Would not recommend.

Imagine if this is Newsmax being so mask off and out of touch that they start losing their viewers. That would be a very funny timeline too

One of my houseplants is a Dieffenbachia that just won't fucking get it together.

I'm doing everything right, it's in an appropriate soil in an ideally sized pot, getting the right levels of water and sunlight. (I even checked with a lux meter and supplement the natural light with an artificial growth light)

It just keeps putting out these new leaves that then immediately die. It's driving me crazy.

I wouldn't necessarily say that they even have correct geopolitics, they sort of get partly correct geopolitics, in the way that some conservatives accidentally get more correct takes on Russia or Palestine.

This is absolutely freak shit. Dudes may rock, but not these ones.

So, that's literally everything now, right? Biden's administration has now officially done nothing over the last 4 years, aside from ending the COVID State of Emergency?

And of course propping up fascist regimes in Ukraine and Israel.

This is basically the MO of all long-running shows on The CW, I've heard that it's basically mandatory. Idk if it's that the network execs demand some sort of change to the story to justify a new season being made, or if it's a dumb marketing strategy to build hype, or what.

The CW is basically a nightmare land that can only churn out low-tier slop that can't even sustain a fanbase to the point of souring people off of longstanding beloved franchises by milking them to death, but every so often they accidentally make something watchable.

Yeah, it kinda keeps trying to have this huge cliffhanger "oh shit everything has changed" moment at the end of each season and it barely holds on each time. Tough to do well, tougher to keep doing well.

I think it's a surprisingly good show for being on the CW, and the budget they had.
