Of course, the Ship of Theseus. Except that I haven't replaced anything. I've only added and improved. The FlippyDrive doesn't stop the disc drive from functioning and doesn't replace it outright. The Retro Gem doesn't have to replace the digital/analog out, it can be installed along side them. Both are adding additional functionality while maintaining the device's original use.

Of course, if the goal is emulation then a PC is a better choice. My goal with this though is to use original hardware, with original discs. Sometimes pushing it to the highest quality it can offer, even with modifications. Playing the games in this case is the second half of the experience.

Haven't installed it yet, waiting my new non yellowed shell to be delivered. I have an ad card ready to go though. Now I am really considering this addition. Might be a little wait.

My opinion, worth 1 cent. Find a niche. Get a view of what the other instances are like. Find a niche.

Trailers? Behind the scenes? Entertainment news? Obscure posters and merch?

We can pick one, stick to it. They'll go somewhere for general discussion, come here for specific engagement.

And to back this up they registered a domain for their "Operation Dreadnaught" on Feb 2. So it does show some premeditation instead of opportunistic attribution.

They weren't in very good hands.

I just got my FlippyDrive, once my new shell comes in I'll consider grabbing this before the install.

Just joined the patron and made a portal account. I'm excited to hopefully be a part of this.
