We all go to Somalia and set sail towards the high seas, obviously πŸ˜‰

Offtopic: But 12 Monkeys is a fun TV show to watch about time-travel. (Not to be confused with the movie, that one is boring)

Can we do a "Cut Off" for CEOs? (French Style 😏)

That's a weird way of wording "You'll only have to pay 95K out of your 100K bill of your hospital stay for giving birth"

5K PER MONTH and paying for the full hospital bill would be a great place start. But of course, they aren't really pro-life to begin with.

Pro-Birth =/= Pro-Life

They don't care what happens after birth.

Mods are abusing their powers, as usual.

That's a "people" problem, not a "Lemmy" problem. Lemmy is just a software.

Lemmy. World is acting more like a company by day.

lemmy.world isn't all of Lemmy. That's like looking into r/conservative or r/genzedong and claiming "Reddit" is "Far-Right"/"Far-Left"

Some instances block VPN and Tor.

I've used many instances and I've always used Tor with no issue. Again, that's a lemmy.world issue.

Federation is kinda of not that perfect right now.

As with most free software/platform, its gonna be less-than-perfect since its not funded/controlled by billionaires.

I guarantee that not a single instance will defend their users privacy.

You have to keep in mind this golden rule of the world: No one is willing to go to jail to protect your privacy. If you an instance owner, and were put in a position to either comply with legal requests or go to jail, you'd probabaly prefer to not go to jail. Everything you do is on Lemmy is public anyways, just use Tor/VPN to hide your IP from your instance owner. Use Matrix if you wanna DM someone.

Terminators never eat, the government has to root out the potential of assassins sent by Skynet.

(Plot twist, there was no "special ability", you are a Terminator)

Because I get bored, think of a subject, get curious, ask a question, then it felt stupid asking, so I delete them. But also because I'm starting to delete anything older than 3 days because I don't want the AI bots to start scraping old data.

"Weird, you havent eaten for days, and you seems to still have so much energy."

a few moment later

"πŸš¨πŸš”πŸš¨ over radio IN PURSUIT OF AN EXTRATERRESTIAL LIFE FORM..."

(Sorry if I'm being silly, I kinda just envisioned a universe where people have strange abilities and a totalitarian government is paranoid and want to lock up everyone with special abilities)

Some people face persecution in their home country.

And take this scenario:

Someone from Country A travels to Country B and commits a crime, and then travels to Country C without permission.

Where should Country C deport this person to?

Play hentai on speakers πŸ˜‰

You can still die, just not from hunger/thirst.

And you have to hide it, or else governments around the world are gonna lock you to a blacksite and experiment on you. (I mean, you are essentially a weird mutant / supernatual being, governments be paranoid)

They feel like cult leaders:

They told me: "Only us, as your parents, care about you, don't trust anyone else..."

Which reminds me: There's actually a common phrase in Chinese culture: "δΈ–δΈŠεͺζœ‰ε¦ˆε¦ˆε₯½", it's a common "nusery rhyme" thingy but its one of the most subtle propaganda in Chinese culture. Roughly translates to "The only good person in the entire world is your mother". (I guess they forgot the bit about abusive parenting... πŸ™„)

So, people are just suppose to believe anything your parent say?

Very cult-like...

Anyone else have parents like this?

"Only us, as your parents care about you, don't trust anyone else..."

"Here at [Corporation], we are a family and we value our team members..."

"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country..."

Very similar
