Wouldn't this be true for anyone?

I pity that you spent this long talking to a very poor LLM set out to troll people. Either that, or a human so far gone there's truly no point in talking to them, as they deluded themselves into believing that the world is completely seperated from their actions.

Anytime someone mentions veganism, there has to be a discussion on plants. Interesting how you suddenly care about vegetables.

Vegetables are not sentient, and even if they were, it requires fewer plants if you eat them directly instead of feeding them to an animal first for years, and then killing the animal.

I'm actually not interested in talking to you, but perhaps someone will read this and realize how absurd it is to compare chopping vegetables to slicing the throat of an animal.

Should we, according to you, grant the same amount of ethical consideration to a tomato as to a cat/pig/bird/etc? Do you actually believe there is a sentient being in a plant, or a rock for that matter?

Our best scientific understanding is that a CNS is essential for sentience, and there is no serious evidence support plant sentience. You can play the philospher and argue this, but then technically you can't prove human sentience outside your own (if that). Should we go kill humans?

Anyway. I see you're not serious in this conversation and are just trolling. Have a good one.

What do you mean? You think there is no supply demand at play in food production?

Animal suffering and veganism are deeply intertwined topics. By analogy, would you be this mad at someone raising issue with the catholic church on a news article about child abuse by priests?

If you are genuinely interested in the vegan position, I'd happily answer (or you could have used a search engine and gotten millions of answers). Something tells me you're not being genuine in your motivation.

In short: there is no sentience and thus, no capacity for suffering inside plants as far as we know based on scientific consensus. Animals do have this. Hence why I care about taking a knife to an animals throat and slicing it, and not about chopping a carrot.

Even if you believe for whatever bum fuck spiritualist reason that plants can suffer, you can minimize plant usage by going vegan. Keeping all those farm animals alive requires (plantbased) feed, so cutting out the middle man reduces the number of plants wasted.

Yep. Thanks for agreeing.

News article shows poor treatment of animals because people want to eat them, or the eggs they lay. Commenter says "gee, if we didnt ask for those things this wouldn't happen". Enlightened lemmy users downvote. Cool.

When I'm activrly playing I feel it can be slow, but as I'm currently not actively playing, it feels like the entire game got updated while I was gone.

I don't want to be mean, but I think it's a bit naive that a German citizen would be able to sue the US gov with the current checks and balances

According to their website they can prolong your temporary contract multiple times, way more than the government would usually allow. Can anyone shine some light onto how this is legal?

Fase A duurt 52 gewerkte weken en fase B maximaal drie jaar. Er mogen zes tijdelijke contracten in deze periode van drie jaar worden gegeven. Een contract in fase C is een contract voor onbepaalde tijd.

I've been greatly enjoying leagues so far! My choices were Harvest - Fairy - Fire sale - Mage - Farmers - Berserker and last not yet unlocked, but I havent had any regrets yet. This feels like a sign that the options are decently well balanced this time around and that there are no wrong choices (walkers?).

My regions are Kandarin Desert Kourend and again here I feel like this was a fun choice. I do feel like Kandarin was nice for early exp, but might not be requires for late game damage as I first thought. Are there any mages that skipped Kandarin? And how are the other builds playing so far for rangers and melees?

Does anyone here have experience comparing the times of the Garmin race predictor for different events? I know that usually it slightly overestimates me or that I haven't been able to run the time yet, but I'm curious how the estimations compare for different distances.

Or otherwise in general, what are your thoughts on sports-watch/app generated predicted race times?
