The handle is normal size. It's just a really big sickle made of a space age lightweight material to be more efficient.

Ok the solar farm one is a gigantic flex. Each one of those mirrors had to be programmed or manually adjusted to make that possible.
Those mirrors follows the sun as programmed so making them to display different pattern was probably quite easy.
Google did that with a solar farm to show a woman important to NASA's moon missions once.
