Rules:

1) Treat Others in a Civil Manner. This is not the place to deride others for their race, sexuality, or etc. Personal insults of other members are not welcome here. Neither are calls for violence.

2) No Contemporary Politics Historical politics that influenced designs or adoption of designs are excluded from this rule. Acknowledgement of existing laws to explain designs is also permissable, so long as comments aren't in made to advocate or oppose a policy. Let's not make this a place where we battle over which color ties our politicians should have, or the issues of today.

3) No Advertising This rule doesn't apply to posting historical advertisements or showing more contemporary ads as a means of displaying information on an appropriate topic. The aim of this rule is to combat spam/irrelevant advertising campaigns.

4) Keep Post on Topic This rule will be enforced with leeway. Just keep it related to arms or Forgotten Weapons or closely adjacent content. If you feel you have something that's worth posting here that isn't about either of those (and doesn't violate other rules) feel free to reach out to a mod.

5) No NSFW Content Please refrain from posting uncensored extreme gore or sexualized content. If censored these posts may be fine.

Post Guide Lines

These are suggestions not rules.

-Provide a duration for videos. eg. [12:34]

-Provide a year to either indicate when a specific design was produced, patented, or released. If you have an older design being used in a recent conflict provide the year the picture was taken. Dates should be included to help contextualize, not necessarily give exact periods.

-Post a full URL, on mobile devices it can be hard to tell what you're clicking on if you only see "(Link)".

-Posts do not have to be just firearms. Blades, bows, etc. are also welcome.

This gun had a 6 round capacity of .25 ACP to be shot across three trigger pulls. It is the predecessor to the S333 Thunderstruck.

Some more pictures:

And it comes in pink or gold!

I'm sure the quality control is fine.

Ironically it's an innovative way of spelling.

Good lord, these guys are smoking more crack than Kel-Tec. Just look at the designs in their banner.

"What's wrong, babe? You've hardly fired your switch-gun"

[–] moog@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago

That gun looks ai generated. How do you even fire it???

[–] FireTower@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

The only thing scarier than this is that one of their shotguns has an imported disclaimer. Implying they build everything else.

I just realized how awful STD Gun sounds when you say it out loud. Someone should tell them.

I don't know if I'd buy ~~a gun~~ anything from a company that can't spell innovative.

[–] tacosanonymous@lemm.ee 10 points 1 year ago

I would also prefer my gun manufacturer to use the Oxford comma.

[–] ralakus@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Wouldn't this count as a machine gun under US law? Law states that a firearm can only fire one bullet per action of the trigger so if it's firing two bullets per pull, then that would technically classify it as a machine gun would it not?

[–] FireTower@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago

Tldr: it's kosher because it's out of two barrels.

[–] nxdefiant@startrek.website 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Binary triggers are a thing, and fire one bullet on pull, and one more on reset. They're in a legal grey zone now as well, but pre-2022? they were seen as the best way around that law.

[–] ralakus@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

In the last slide it says "Two shots One pull" so I'm assuming it's not a binary trigger but I could see these guns using them to skirt around the machine gun laws like you said.

I found this

https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/new-standard-manufacturing-s333-volleyfire/

Where the manufacturer claims it doesn't count as a machine gun because both bullets fire simultaneously instead of sequentially. 🤷‍♂️

[–] ralakus@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

¯_(ツ)_/¯

Never thought of it that way but I guess it's up to their lawyers and the ATF to fight it out

[–] DannyBoy@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Why stop at two? Stop home intruders with one go-big-or-go-home 6 shot volley.

[–] StorminNorman@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

You kinda nailed the reason why when you said "intruders". Cos you're right, there could be more than one so you might need another shot.

[–] southsamurai@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Looks like it would be a pretty nice clutch piece for when you're limited in size choices, but don't want to deal with a derringer type of gun.

Kinda dubious about the durability, but what do i know?

[–] setsneedtofeed@lemmy.world 21 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I mean, look at the girth of it. That is a wide boi.

If for some bizarre reason the normal subcompacts like LCPs aren't enough, the Beretta Tomcat exists. It holds more rounds in a bigger cartridge and is made by a company people have actually heard of.

The idea of a pepperbox in 2017 is selling to people who either know its dumb and want the novelty, or people who grew up in Luddite households and think automatics jam at the drop of a hat.

I think there's a reason this one was forgotten.

[–] blahsay@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I'm assuming it won't fire 6 at a time because it just snaps your wrist like a twig if you do 😂

If you haven't fired a pistol before accuracy (particularly over range), not stopping power is the biggest issue so this is like a two neck guitar.

Perfectly idiotic and I love it!
