It's bad if you think of it as a cake, but it's fine if you think of it as an abnormally shaped fried egg

This is actually incredible - I wonder if you could poach a ring like this... Hmmmmm.
Oh my god. Like, maybe? If you get some convection currents going you can trap eggs in them and so they'll arrange themselves in a ring?
But i feel like that would require a rolling boil, which would be too much for poached eggs
