Lately, I've been wondering why I rarely come across any posts from this instance. When I was on lemmy.ml, I used to complain about the overwhelming number of posts from the Shit Reactionaries Say community. At that time, my main concern was seeing fewer of those posts. However, to my surprise, I now find myself missing them. Despite consciously searching for an instance that doesn't defferederate, I still can't find any posts. It's not just the Shit Reactionaries Say community—I never see any posts from the entire instance. I'm curious to know if the reason behind this is that the instance has diminished in size. Could it be that the instance's user base has significantly decreased, leading to the lack of visible posts?

I think it's just the sheer quantity of liberal redditors that have flocked here. 100 upvotes is a lot for our posts, and liberals don't really want to hear our content, so they ignore or downvote it. Browsing lemmy.ml, I see plenty of posts that are in the thousands of upvotes. We just aren't the big fish of the small pond anymore.

It's also possible that some of our members might be posting more on other instances. We're one of the most blocked instances in the fediverse. That means our posts/comments will not be visible to most people, and we generally do want to challenge the western narrative.

I did find your post when browsing lemmy.ml by new though. So we are still federated (and I would be shocked if lemmy.ml ever defederated from us)

I’m always kind of shocked but then just laugh when I comment what would be a routine comment around these parts by accident over at one of the liberal instances and it gets blown apart with downvotes and angry comments. I come back later and realize it’s just libs being libs. I accidentally told them the truth they didn’t wanna hear but which is routinely discussed around here. Oops. Not sorry. I kind of enjoy forcing some super libbed up Hillary-loving freaks to read stuff that they can’t grapple with within their mind of either “orange man? Downvote” or “Hillary woman? Upvote!” It’s just funny… in a jokerified way of course.

Do any of them even remember Clinton exists? I think they forgot "Hillary woman" and only remember "Old man Joe" now.

I don't think the user base has decreased; the instance is just overwhelmed by a few others in terms of size, and I would guess that this is why posts from here (which receive relatively little activity in comparison to those other instances) don't usually show up in "Local". You could always subscribe to particular communities and use the "Subscribed" filter

Even if I subscribe, I'm going to have the same issue. As long as I'm subscribed to a couple of large communities, I won't see content from any of the smaller communities. Maybe when something like this gets implemented, I'll actually be able to use the subscriptions.

you should see it if you sort by New, at least

Who has the time for that?

I highly recommend sorting by "new comments"!
