idk why people need cameras and sensors that beep when something's close, for me the thump and/or scream is enough

It feels like boomer humor but it's really good
I have an older car with no backup camera, but I frequently drive my parents' cars which both have backup cameras. Often, when I'm driving my own car, I find myself backing up while staring uselessly at my center console. Haven't heard any screams or crunching noises so far, fingers crossed.
They are actually planning on making us watch an add , in order to use the backup camera.... Coming soon
Let's see those ads pop up while test driving with a salesman LOL
gets car accident lawyer ad after collision is detected
Oh fuck that's dystopian enough that I'm sure it'll happen
No no they're not that stupid
It would be disabled at the dealership. When you go to select your options you can opt for the monthly or yearly ad-free plan. Or if you really want a good value you can get the lifetime* ad-free plan for just $3000.
If you don't go for those only then will the ads be enabled - but don't worry you can always download the app and start your subscription. (But it will be more expensive than it would've been if you signed up when you bought it. Why not just do it from the start?)
*(of the car)
I'd rather spend a week fixing my car than spend a week earning enough money to pay the dealer to work on my car.
I'd rather bike because the repairs are easier, cheaper, and I don't have to pay for gas and insurance
I'd have to pay with my time way too much. 50 minutes by car, 3 hours by bike...
Ngl even 50 minutes by car is an insane commute to me. My commute is 30-40 by bike.
Mine is 90 minutes by car each way, but only twice a week.
I know, it sucks but it is what it is with my line of work
I bought a used 25 yo hybrid off of Craigslist last November for $50 and I've put 2000 miles on it since then. I just can't believe people spend $10K to $15K on bikes these days, but it's fun to pass those things.
Yeah. 10 or 15k is wild to me. Got my bike for $210 used and it's served me for 7 ish years now. Winter biking has done a number to it though.
Yeah but wealthy people get to extract money from you when you work and from the workers at the dealer when you pay them so they lock the car down so you can't do that.
Learn about speeduino
Thanks (speeduino) but...all my cars are 35 years old. No data port available.
Nice, but speeduino can so completely replace the computer of a car it can add the data port to a car without one.
This could be you with speeduino
This made me chortle. Fantastic.
