Yep. I think the actual episode name is "Blue Harvest" or at least that's what I put in the post thinking it was called.
Having extensively played Star Trek Online, that is about the best you can pull in a Galaxy class. Some days I miss my time heading up the USS Turndammit.
They probably have an "evasive maneuvers" button that functions exactly like the close door button on an elevator.
The ship's AI likely does the smartest possible thing in that scenario and all the other inputs are ignored.

Those damn tricom badges will transport you into some awkward places:

Has been bugging me for decades, ever since I first played flight sims as a kid.

I find it hard to believe no one on the bridge ever made vrooooom and zoooooom sounds while in battle.
I could see Tom Paris doing that in the Delta Flyer since it has physical controls. Same with Travis Mayweather.
Well, it's a perfectly fine way to evade an attack.
And doing so embiggened his spirit.
A perfectly cromulent maneuver.
Excessive Maneuvers?
But where is the hidden weeed
In my "Star Trek: Blazin' Bev" universe, she takes the captain's seat seriously. Only sparks up before coming on duty, after her shift ends, or if it's, like, really stressful.
That explains the red eyes. Her discipline in these matters rivals that of a Vulcan's. Unless people are yellin or givin her static.
