Downloaded! I felt bad for not liking OrganicMaps' interface as much as I like the idea of it, so I'm always on the hunt for something like it that scratches my map itch.

Seconded on Organic Maps’ UI. So much potential. Will watch and hope it gets better.

Aside from the leadership, how is this fork different from organic maps?

The theming is different, team uses open-source platforms such as Codeberg/Lemmy/Mastodon/Matrix instead of Github/Reddit/X/Telegram and the map data is slightly more up-to-date at June 22 instead of June 8.

in addition to this, their wiki pages on OSM wiki elaborates why CoMaps surged, also its not a dealbreak for me but apparently OrganicMaps is available for older iOS devices (iOS 12.0+) while CoMaps is available on iOS 15.0+

Could you allow CoMaps to be listed in the MacOS App Store's "iPhone & iPad Apps" List ? Organic Maps is there, so CoMaps should work as well.

It currently only works on earth until OpenSpaceMaps and OpenHellMaps get more track unfortunately.

Fortunately I do live on Earth!
