I'm so disappointed with AI 'art'

when it came out I was aware of all their problems, but I was curious, I knew it would bring a lot of slop, but I wondered what would artists could do with such powerful tools.

Imagine fan made movies about webcomics, made by the artist, who could only do a few panels a day, but now in a week he can make a short movie in any style they want, especially copying their own style.

I expected to have a full Jurassic park movie where they made the dinosaurs more scientifically accurate.

or more nuanced use, like imagine a strategy game, an artist draws 5 houses, then trains a small diffusion model to copy the style of said house, so now every house you place will fit the art style but be unique, repeat with all structures and assets. Same could be done with textures and you will never see repeating texture squares.

However, all we get is short form slop. haven't seen a single use of generative AI that was actually worth consuming.

Not the topic necessarily but I was kinda bummed that when some aliens started showing up in S2 they were a lot of the Nu-Wars type of ones and not the more colorful kinda cartoony prequel ones.

Just my own weird take though tbh.

They also were mostly set filler, I don't think there were any named alien characters.

real darth jarjar adherents: would this guy have retired to naboo or would he have taken, as depicted, a more involved role in imperial operations in a covertly lower-ranked position after installing palpatine?

We could have had a scene in the sequel movies with some snappy marvel soy banter with a rebel being presented in front of sith lord jarjar and being like "I'm sorry, I can't understand you."

A true Darth Jar Jar would have stayed in the Senate, taking Padme's place as full Senator of Naboo, and acted as controlled opposition to the Emperor. He would act as a release valve for anyone opposing Imperial plans, especially non humans, and quietly deal with anyone he couldn't control.

Mon Mothma and Bail Organa would have been neutralized in this case. He might have even stumbled onto Leia's true identity.
