Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

Mikayla Raines, an autistic woman known for making heartwarming videos of rescue foxes enjoyed by millions of people around the globe, has taken her own life at the age of 29 — a murder by a thousand cuts perpetrated through online abuse. She is survived by her husband Ethan and daughter Freya, who will continue to operate the Save a Fox rescue in her absence.

I empathize with and wish the best to them and the rescue, and to the rest of Mikayla Raines' friends and family, and may Raines herself rest in peace. Despite not watching Save a Fox regularly in years, I have to say that the videos warmed my heart in some tough times, so it's a huge bummer to see that someone who spread so much brightness in the world has been killed in such a horrible way. Between Mikayla Raines and Jonathan Joss, it really seems like this month has had several good people's lives taken by the world's ugliness.

Down with that ugliness! Destroy it, completely! Long live Great Humanity!

So pretty much the west is satanic and I don't want to hear otherwise. Here's the kindest woman on earth and she was bullied to death for no reason outside of "epic luls". I don't want to hear another fucking peep about China or the DPRK.

it's always the nicest fuckin people. one woman i saw used to run a community garden with the small amount of money she had spare form her disability benefits.

Then someone salted the fucking soil. Petulant world full of rot. Cast it away.

I remember seeing that, wasn't it in the uk or something? It feels like by this stage anymore if you're not a leftist you have no soul.

Kindness isn’t rewarded in the west unless it’s directed at the most vile people, giving them a pass for being vile people.

Kindness is actively punished. People here are trained to see kindness as something to beat put of others

My partner was absolutely devastated by this

Especially because now the internet sleuths are trying to argue that her husband killed her and made it look like suicide

Bunch of fucking vipers

Especially because now the internet sleuths are trying to argue that her husband killed her and made it look like suicide

It was the fucking reddit-logo trash that was continually harassing her that led to the suicide, they're just not wanting to address how toxic that site is.

Just heard about this from TikTok and was horrified there was a hate campaign being spread from reddit (particularly one individual that turned out to be a libertarian-alert and creepy zoophile )

Overall saddened and angered by how petty internet bullshit has taken another life.

Could you give some more details on this? I had no idea she was being bullied at all; all I knew was she uploaded awesome videos of her foxes. Why the heck would anyone bully her; HER of all people.

Heck, she's white and straight, she's exactly who the internet freaks claim they want to protect (not that those 'people' ever actually help anyone).

Am I missing something? Why would anyone bully her?

I didn't really know much about her; I only used to stop by her videos to see the content about the foxes; I didn't even know her by name either; when I saw the title I assumed perhaps her fox recently that passed away was too much for her, but I never imagined EVER that she'd be getting bullied.

EDIT: Just found somewhat of a breakdown; apparently a bunch of losers on the internet who fancied themselves detectives decided to harass the heck out of her because they fantasized to themselves some ridiculous nonsense about her. Absolute losers.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up and the head of the reddit loser witch hunt was this creepy ass zoophile who is now playing the victim even though they spearheaded the hate campaign, doxxxing, and harassment. I hope her parents pursue some form of charges against those responsible if able.

Another person gets added to r*ddit's list of victims. How many doxxing campaigns is this that had real world consequences? And I'm sure nothing will be done.

I didn't follow this channel but their fox videos have been popping up in my recommendations for years so this is quite sad. Apparently the rescue had somehow managed to accrue its own CinemassacreTruth style anti-community of obsessive weirdos with massive hate boners internet-delenda-est

[–] Aelis@hexbear.net 8 points 2 days ago

When the video went out it was so unreal to me that I gaslighted myself into thinking a fox had died and not Mikayla, only bit by bit I started to process what really happend.

It's not the first time I've learned that someone I followed on the internet since forever had died for the sadest reasons..but I think it was the first time I actually cried about it.

I would have never expected her to be bullied to death considering she was just rescuing foxes and showing cute videos of them having a new life, like wtf is wrong with people...

consequences must be enacted
