I haven't watched the film since like 2010 and remember finding it largely unfunny, incl the main plot being generic and humour being "see, it's funny because manly soldier wants to be feminine hair dresser"
But the non sequitur running gag that, for some unexplained reason and to the bewilderment of everyone else, everyone in the Middle East is obsessed with disco got an audible laugh from me.
