Nothing Ear. Really good noise cancelling for $100
neurodiverse
What is Neurodivergence?
It's ADHD, Autism, OCD, schizophrenia, anxiety, depression, bi-polar, aspd, etc etc etc etc
“neurologically atypical patterns of thought or behavior”
So, it’s very broad, if you feel like it describes you then it does as far as we're concerned
Rules
1.) ableist language=post or comment will probably get removed (enforced case by case, some comments will be removed and restored due to complex situations). repeated use of ableist language=banned from comm and possibly site depending on severity. properly tagged posts with CW can use them for the purposes of discussing them
2.) always assume good faith when dealing with a fellow nd comrade especially due to lack of social awareness being a common symptom of neurodivergence
2.5) right to disengage is rigidly enforced. violations will get you purged from the comm. see rule 3 for explanation on appeals
3.) no talking over nd comrades about things you haven't personally experienced as a neurotypical chapo, you will be purged. If you're ND it is absolutely fine to give your own perspective if it conflicts with another's, but do so with empathy and the intention to learn about each other, not prove who's experience is valid. Appeal process is like appealing in user union but you dm the nd comrade you talked over with your appeal (so make it a good one) and then dm the mods with screenshot proof that you resolved it. fake screenies will get you banned from the site, we will confirm with the comrade you dm'd.
3.5) everyone has their own lived experiences, and to invalidate them is to post cringe. comments will be removed on a case by case basis depending on determined level of awareness and faith
4.) Interest Policing will not be tolerated in any form. Support your comrades in their joy!
Further rules to be added/ rules to be changed based on community input

My gf has the CMF buds by Nothing Ear and loves them too
Another vote for these, love mine. Also the voice call quality is excellent, or so I'm told.
airpods pro are pog both in sound and anc, but very expensive (tried from a friend). i think, all very good cancellation earbuds sit around 200 :(
heard good things about anker a40 when i was thinking of getting something for winter (dunno if they have voice mode though). you can checkout rtings (, they have somewhat reasonable review process, you want 20-30 db below 200hz/above 12k sounds like (they have graphs of anc of earbuds, and you can try filtering out by noise cancelling score, and then checking out attractive options for graphs)
(also concert ear plugs, if you just want quiet tbh)
I have anker a40s but don't have anything else to compare them against. They definitely achieve a noticeable reduction of engine noise that I'm exposed to at work and have good sound quality. I don't use any other features or even the buttons so can't comment on that side.
If you're able to go to an electronics shop, you could try out a variety of different ones in person and see what works best + what feels most comfortable on your head + what sounds the best to play music through.
If you end up going with Sony's line, XM4 sounds significantly better than XM5, and can be EQ'd to sound even better. I never tried earbuds.
Just a heads up that ANC cannot be worn eternally. I have used the really good ANC headphones, and the mediocre ones. I think you can get away with wearing the more expensive ones for longer, but they all sort of put pressure on your head. I like open-ear headphones, that allow me to participate with others while side-lining things I want to hear. I have also enjoyed silicone buds. Many wear ear-muffs to negate noises. I believe only ANC will lessen the music. Life is just really loud nowadays. Not sure of your budget, but truly you'd be fine grabbing the best at any range. $20/$50/$100/$200/$400
If you grab the cheaper stuff, try offsetting it with some of the other options available, as when one needs to be put down you can swap to another.

I wear over-the-ear ANC headphones during nearly all my waking hours (and sometimes my sleeping ones, if I forget to take them off), but admittedly I'm a bit of an odd bird.
What over ears do you use? (Also i have big ears... Would they work for big ears?) having something that is usable all day would be wonderful
You should buy whatever this person is using, stat!
