because the NYT has the dumbest motherfuckers on speed dial to be sources, there's a quoted bozo in there who is now worried about her kid but thinks bombing Iran during negotiations will induce Iran to... try negotiating. fuck these morons. I like the point they made about the government recently cutting spending for Veterans Affairs right before deciding to get them into another fight.
I'd be very hesitant to enlist knowing that is the way you'll be treated when they're done with you.
Makes no difference to the rich politicians unless we start firing them when they're complicit. They'll just move on to the next generation of disenfranchised young people with more testosterone than brains or money...or maybe choices until AI powered robots can take their places.
Then they won't need any of us.
