I work at a school, we are being advised to watch out for strange unmarked cars, and masked unidentified individuals skilking around campus, this is not part of our active shooter training, not our mandated reporting, no, for ICE, there is legitimate concern an unmarked van will show up and strange men will kidnap one of our students. In our area they have kidnapped legal citizens and refused to give them thier legal rights. Carrying passports, ID, birth certificates does not matter to them, and we shouldn't have to prove innocence, they should have to prove guilt.

I was born and raised in America, we were born and raised in America, we should not have to fear being kidnapped and subjected to cruelty by our government.

Our democracy is at a crossroads, it is being shredded, an authoritarian dictatorship is being built around us, and there are still people asking to be oppressed.

I got chills. This is what a leader should sound like. And I don’t like that he praised the thugs that are LAPD, but I get that it’s important for us Californians to be united against a common enemy in this time. It also sounds like he is encouraging more peaceful protest around the nation. Now we just need Newsom to show up to the No Kings rally in LA. More of this, please!

I just cannot believe, in spite of all the warnings we progressives have pointed at, we're really here at the threshold.

I'm not saying we've crossed it. But it feels like we're here. Maybe this is what the cuban missile crisis felt like for our parents, albeit on a smaller scale for us.

There's no one single threshold, we have broken past many, and there are yet more to cross. The question is if we can slow the mad dash through them.

The video is up and running and I just finished watching it .... amazing and great to see a governor standing up to the orange menace

... and at the same time because I don't trust corporate run media like YT ... I downloaded my own copy for reference and to share if needed.
