This community is a mirror of the AltMedia subreddit at https://old.reddit.com/r/AltMedia.

Until January 2nd, 2025 the 'WorldNews` subreddit, with 40 million users automatically subscribed, had an 'Israel at War' livethread constantly at the top.

This community was founded to dissent from this forced perspective, and present the Palestinian and anti-establishment position in general.

This community is 'AltMedia' in the Mearsheimer and Walt sense. Not the Richard Spencer sense.

Under international maritime law, the UK has full jurisdiction over the vessel, and a legal duty to protect the crew of the boat. A spokesperson for the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC), which organised the boat, told MEE that the mission had not had any official contact or cooperation from British authorities. “Israel had absolutely no authority to attack a UK flagged vessel - a sovereign UK territory in international waters,” lawyer Huwaida Arraf, of the FFC, told MEE. Arraf added that not only was UK sovereignty violated by the attack, but also the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and International Court of Justice provisional measures compelling Israel to allow unimpeded aid access into Gaza.

Jewish Supremacist groups are highly organized and very effective politically. I recommend "The Israel Lobby" by John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt as a primer.

Nuclear armed genocide state with the full backing of the US, it's like a game of hot potato where Israel is doing everything in their power to start WW3 but nobody wants to be the first to speak up

What is the deal with world governments all having a hard on for Israel? They can literally get away with genocide and everyone just nods like its cool. And then there's this, a literal kidnapping of British citizens, and they just shrug. What the actual fuck...
