Silicon Valley’s neo-monarchist muse compares the Trump administration’s bureaucracy slashers to an orchestra of chimpanzees.

Yarvin — a Silicon Valley blogger and software developer who argues for replacing American democracy with a dictatorship — spent years outlining an assault on what he calls “the cathedral” of elite power and consensus. Long before the U.S. DOGE Service launched in January, Yarvin coined his own four-letter acronym for bureaucracy-slashing: RAGE, or “Retire All Government Employees.”

Wouldn't it be so wonderful if we could somehow get these people to understand that their ideas are bad without having to directly experience the consequences of them?

[–] billiam0202@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

Alternatively, can we make them realize their ideas are bad by making only them experience the consequences of them?

He sees backlash which he doesn't like.

He knows the guillotines are coming and wants to get away from that ASAP

If there was a revolution against the oligarchy, I wonder how the people would see - and therefore, how they would react to - this individual.

I don't wonder at all.

He would be tried under Treason, convicted, and executed most likely.

This guy is a worm piece of shit that would be instantly knocked out by any man over 150lbs if Yarvin tried to fist fight him. Like a Hitler wannabe Kip Dynamite. I wish I could draw so I could draw a picture of American Revolutionaries executing British loyalists with the caption on “this is what Patriots did to people who tried to have a king in charge of America” and send it to him.

Shut up, Curtis.

He was lucky enough to be born at the right time and in the right place, and thinks that he earned everything that was blindly handed to him.

At least he's smart enough to recognize a dumpster fire when it's happneing before his face

That's because efficiency isn't the goal. They're firing people just to hire them back and rewriting code that works fine simply because it's old.

I'm ok if we stop giving this guy any attention.

Dude kicks a bunch of rocks down a hill and complains that the avalanche isn't going the way he wanted? Fuck him. He gets the metaphorical guillotine with the rest. Or maybe the literal one, if the avalanche goes hard enough.

That's the trouble with revolution, you can't predict the outcome. The fundamental flaw of accelerationism. Your side might come out on top, but it might not. Big ole reset button drenches everyone in blood.
