My first thought was
"Who gets out of this car and thinks 'yeah, that'll be fine'?"
But then I realized this is a person that saw this monstrosity of a "car" and thought to themselves
"Yeah, this is fine, I want that."

They probably think the parking spot is too small, so it's the city's fault.

[–] lostbit 2 points 5 days ago

i hate that this is so accurate

Is the tram's power enough to ram that Ram? Surely it won't be able to dodge the tram's ram.

This is in Rotterdam and I live there, tram 10 is a tourist sightseeing tram that is old and vintage, they won't want to damage it. Also I think the tram is a lot less powerful than modern trams and also the ram is probably very heavy.

[–] Tylerdurdon@lemmy.world 54 points 5 days ago (1 children)

[–] HK65@sopuli.xyz 18 points 5 days ago

Was für ein kolossales Arschloch

[–] hitwright@lemmy.world 22 points 5 days ago

I love how this trancends language barriers

[–] Wahots@pawb.social 15 points 5 days ago

What an asshole. Hopefully the city towed it to the scrapyard.

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 22 points 5 days ago (4 children)

[–] lowleekun@ani.social 9 points 5 days ago (2 children)

[–] Schorsch@feddit.org 7 points 5 days ago

[–] Cobrachicken@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago

[–] excral@feddit.org 6 points 5 days ago

[–] pulsey@feddit.org 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

[–] Blum0108@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Und sein Führerschein weggenommen.

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago

Und die Arschlochkarre in den Schredder geschmissen.

[–] MemmingenFan923@feddit.org 12 points 5 days ago

Finde das Auto vom Main-Character.

[–] Gladaed@feddit.org 11 points 5 days ago

Dodge ramm ihn von der Straße?

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 7 points 5 days ago (4 children)

Had no idea how truly huge some of these pickups are now days until I started loading them at Lowe's. Plenty of reasons to need a powerful truck in America, particularly for contractors and the like, but fuck me.

My 2004 F150 is tiny compared to these monsters and I can do whatever. Hell, I towed a 20" boat with my Eclipse convertible, I think a normal pickup can tow about whatever. My next vehicle will almost surely be a small pickup.

[–] excral@feddit.org 13 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Plenty of reasons to need a powerful truck in America, particularly for contractors and the like, but fuck me.

Nah, even for contracters there are far more practical options like the Ford Transit and Mercedes Sprinter style vehicles. The current Ford F-150, Dodge RAM, Cybertruck and so on are just impractical and a safety hazard to everyone else. You literally can't see children in the driveway ahead of you. And most people who drive them aren't even contractors.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

Not familiar with the other two, but throwing the Cybertruck in there seems disingenuous. I wouldn't rate it as a working truck, under any definition. One of these things is not like the other...

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 8 points 5 days ago

20' a 20" boat would be hilarious to tow but not particularly impressive.

[–] atomicorange@lemmy.world 6 points 5 days ago

And there are SO MANY of them. I swear it’s like every other car on the road here in Colorado. You work in an office, Larry, you don’t need that stupid thing.

They all drive like psychos too.

[–] TanteRegenbogen@feddit.org 4 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Here in Europe, only craftsmen and gardeners maybe need a pickup, but otherwise it is highly impractical here.

[–] affenlehrer@feddit.org 2 points 5 days ago

The big problem is that some people egos don't fit into a normal sized car.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago (2 children)

I'd love you to see what I load and compare to European trucks! The guys in lumber load some scary shit on "regular" trucks. The other night I was helping and the truck owner and my boss were like, "Yeah. Let's just stop and you can come back."

Guessing in Europe monster loads get moved by even bigger trucks, purpose built?

[–] the_wiz@feddit.org 2 points 5 days ago

When spending time with my relatives in Vietnam told me one thing, then it is this: You don't need a truck to haul impressive amounts of stuff, you don't even need a station wagon... hell, you don't even need a CAR! A 125 ccm Honda moped with an determined rider can transport amzing loads of stuff.

[–] TanteRegenbogen@feddit.org 1 points 5 days ago

Yes, purpose built. There aren't many uses for pickup trucks here when you can just get a normal 7.5 tonne truck. For an F350, you need a truck license in Europe anyways since it exceeds 3.5 tonnes. (yes curb weight is slightly below, but you exceed it as soon as you have more than just the driver.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Can you name the truck with four wheel drive, smells like a steak and seats thirty-five...

[–] HexagonSun@sh.itjust.works 5 points 5 days ago

…Twelve yards long, two lanes wide, sixty five tons of American pride…

[–] Ifrothgolf@lemmy.ml 1 points 4 days ago

An impressive respectful fine of up to €1K is highly appreciated in these disrespectful situations with total disregard for the public transportation.
