The Florida of Australia, and beholden to the whims of the stupid
Bicycles are very common in Florida. It never snows and its very flat.
Rode my bike to work in 2012 in Brisbane. Drivers actively hated me for existing and I was really happy when the job ended because I genuinely feared for my life and was almost driven over during my last week. I was seemingly the only one peddling my bike just for transportation.
That said: I'm not surprised car is king in Brisbane.
