The reason liberals keep losing is because they're more concerned with keeping the left in line than keeping the right in line.

And it's intentional

with keeping the left in line

What left? They're all been killed and put underground

I was at the protest (there was a Palestine protest in DC the same day, stumbled upon the lib one on accident)

I saw pro USAID posters, pro NATO, pro Ukraine, pro Kamala, so much #resist and #vote bullshit too.

The demographic was also just old women with witty signs. I saw one lib wearing a sign that had a QR code titled "Anti-Trump Limericks (18+)".

Meanwhile the pro-Palestine protest had demographics from all over, PSL ran the show. Multiple guest speakers, we walked to the ICE building and DHS cars parked outside were vandalized and their tired were slashed.

Just two completely different movements and I don't think the libs will ever be radicalized enough to a point we could rely on them for anything.

Look, a sign showing Dr*mp in a diaper! Diaper Dr*mp - I love it!

behold, the height of liberal political art: body-shaming Trump instead of criticizing his actual policies

I genuinely thought I stumbled upon a group that was serious about doing something (majority queer and poc), and they ended up holding call your reps parties and doing peaceful orange man bad marches . Really tired of hearing “don’t let perfect be the enemy of good” rhetoric coming from the people who believe that performative disgust is a useful tool.

The DNC have these people placated beyond belief

"orange man bad" is fairly accurate as a political hueristic, but not nearly as accurate as "United States bad"

[–] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 23 points 1 week ago

"orange man bad" is true but it's because he is the unfiltered id of america, america bad and he is a subset of that bad

[–] Goblin@hexbear.net 32 points 1 week ago

I'm allowed a little sneering when a 1/3rd of the signs mention Ukraine or NATO but I honked my horn and waved like a good little liberal

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 31 points 1 week ago (2 children)

This actually made me laugh out loud.

Libs are so very pleased with themselves.

And if Trump invokes the Insurrection Act in a couple weeks - it'll be

#GoodTrouble

And I'll be laughing and laughing and laughing. Here's a tweet by the libs' Patron Saint of Good Trouble - John Lewis.

I was beaten bloody by police officers. But I never hated them. I said, 'Thank you for your service.'

On Bluesky in general I've seen two kinds of popular posts on the "hands off" protests.

  1. The vast majority of posts are cheering the protestors - no matter matter how small the protests were. Like "Look at these 50 protestors in this deep red Wyoming county!"

  2. There's been some punching left.

I don't remember a single post stressing solidarity. I can't remember a single post attacking the republicans. If there was snark or sarcasm in the comment - it was punching left.

Hands Off protests

The Hands Off protests launched across the United States on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in what is currently the largest one-day, nationwide display of public resistance against the second administration of President Donald Trump.

WHAT GOOD THING DID YOU DO? WHAT DID YOU ACCOMPLISH? DID YOU EVEN ATTEMPT TO TAKE ANY POWER AWAY FROM THE TRUMP ADMIN? DID YOU EVEN COST THEM A DIME IN PROPERTY DAMAGE?

[–] ANarcoSnowPlow@hexbear.net 23 points 1 week ago

Hey, hopefully if they keep it up they'll provoke some dumb hogs into attacking them. That'll be helpful.

I don't follow anybody at Bluesky - I use raw feeds instead. After the election - the site exploded in size. I think I've seen three posts by @golikehellmachine in total this year. The site is at ~40M now. Before the election it was small and niche. @golikehellmachine was a top poster and his insufferable libposting was all over my feeds. I have to wonder if he talks like he posts.

who's sneering at wine mom protestors? they bring the building blocks of the revolution (empty glass bottles)

[–] miz@hexbear.net 28 points 1 week ago (2 children)

liberal theory:

"orange man bad"

communist theory:

A Marxist understanding of capitalism leads to anti-imperialism. Anti-imperialism is understood by detractors as a simple rhetorical dressing over simplistic heuristics like “reflexive anti-americanism,” “history repeats itself,” and “the military-industrial complex needs contracts,” but all of these are reductive. Marxists understand that human political leadership in the imperial periphery, whether enlightened or tyrannical, will only be antagonized by empire for one single possible reason: it is getting in the way of market penetration.

communist theory:

Filling the bottle with just ethanol is not sufficient, you need some viscosity. Mix the gasoline with any organic viscous material (tar, corn syrup etc.). When you throw it at vehicles, aim at the air intake, it's the most vulnerable part of any vehicle.

Liberal response: That’s too much reading

[–] Hohsia@hexbear.net 26 points 1 week ago (1 children)

They have so much to show for their protests too!

It’s interesting how different these experiences are. I went to the one in my town which was pretty much ran by PSL and Trans activists groups. It was nice seeing even the lib moms cheering on to protect trans kids and stopping the genocide. Not to mention there was actually some good organizing efforts going on to show people how to get more involved and getting people to take direct action in our community.
