I wouldn't recommend any private investors to short anything, especially not out of spite. Shorting means that you borrow shares, immediately sell them and at a defined / later point in time, you have to buy again shares to give them back to the person you borrowed from. And as a stock's value can theoretically grow indefinitely, you can also lose an infinite amount of money and much more than you originally invested.
