Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving piece of shit. Zero sympathy.

i thought a tiger would eat his face, but eventually turned out to be a leopard

Joe Exotic really seems to be leaning into leopards these days.

Yeah, doesn't make sense no matter how you look at it.

Trump was exceedingly, vulgarly, and graphically clear that a vote for him was a vote the policy of heavy-handed and widespread immigration crackdowns.

If he can get $5 million, does that mean he financially recovered from this?

The faces are extra tasty.

Joe Exotic is the guy from the Tiger King documentary that went viral during lockdowns. He's a gay republican presidential candidate, a (former) zoo owner, a tiger breeder and illegal seller, and currently in jail for attempting to have a rival zoo owner murdered.

I'm still proud of the fact that I haven't seen Tiger King to this day.

[–] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 28 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

That's an odd thing of which to be proud, but I'm the same way with mainstream music. We just like to feel like we are unique sometimes.

If more people would have rejected reality tv slop, we wouldn't have had The Apprentice. Tiger King is in the same category of weird, voyeuristic shit.

[–] Walican132@lemmy.today 3 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Wasn’t the apprentice was a game show? I believe tiger king was a documentary. Both slop sure but I don’t know that either count as reality TV do they?

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 5 points 10 hours ago

If a game show leans heavy on the scripted drama, I classify it as reality tv. People aren't interested in the competition. They're interested in the conflict.

[–] Rhoeri@lemmy.world 5 points 12 hours ago

Same. Zero interest in that drama.

[–] militaryintelligence@lemmy.world 1 points 13 hours ago (2 children)

Me neither. Never saw Star Wars or any of the Harry Potter movies either.

As I tell my wife every time she reveals another pop-culture media source she's never seen, "m'eh. You're not really missing out on anything unless you actually want to watch it. In that case, I'm sure we can find a copy on the seven seas."

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 2 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Congrats on your ignorance.

He's actually from Oklahoma. But the lady he tried to kill was from Florida

[–] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 1 points 10 hours ago

Pretty standard, really.
