Shes only saying this to give them back power, they never wanted to even enshrine womens rights into law, they were fine letting roe v wade just be a court case, even when they had the votes and the prez to do it, you think they would even start the real work of getting all the equal rights for everyone? If the left says not voting was voting for fascists then decades of inaction is the same as action.

How many easy wins could they have had with the populace if they would have done those things, but the liberal movement inside the USA government was really more about making corporations persons and getting that money into their pocket.

"I swear we'll stop bending over backwards for fascists, just let us win this one time" Our rights are being taken away, and it's just another half-assed campaign stump.

If the trump presidency made democrats care about advancing trans rights that is the greatest sliverlining.

I'm legit amazed, but still very glad to see someone in the democrats take such a direct stance. And, even though I kinda despise having to frame the fight in the terms she suggests, she's right about how to tackle it.

It's pretty damn weird for my leftist ass to be agreeing with her. I've always seen her as never being willing to step up on the really important stuff. I just wish she'd had some real influence in the last year, if that's really how she's thinking. Maybe she can swing the middle into a solid opposition.
