Ukraine shouldn't have dressed so sexy

Oh, so it's Ukraine's fault for.... uh... not calling Putin and saying "please dont"? Not having someone at the border saying "hello, armed invaders, we're actually closed and not allowing attacks currently, please try again another time"?

Trump is literally nothing but a demented and cowardly KGB puppet nowadays.

KGB is used to actually rough shit. Trump is a privileged cowardly clown who's never had to defend himself physically. Loud voice, no bark. It's the other way around with KGB/FSB whatever you want to call the current iteration of the Russian principal "security" agency.

Bear in mind that Trump belongs to the same political party that routinely blames rape victims for being raped.

Just put up signs along the border.

and then the cloud of senility returned.

He's not senile and not stupid. Not at all. This is strategic distraction. Intentionally flooding the news with so much bs that they can't keep up. At the same time he's planting uncertainty and pressure for future negotiations with the same or different entity.

How to deal with that: just ignore his outrageous and often stupid headlines. Dig deeper and think about what he's trying to accomplish down the road. You'll get your answers if you start thinking of him as an intelligent strategist playing stupid rather than a stupid strategist playing intelligent.

the agenda is right in the open. no real research needed. and we did have what his first term so I really think you are putting to much into things we all already know for sure. At this point its just how he is going to proceed and yeah they work in bullshit stream. but you will never. ever. convince me trump and his cohort are intelligent in any meaningful way. A guy who hits a guy for his wallet is not a genius vs the guy working for a living. Its just that immoral is effective in the short term for a group. Smart is realizing what is truly in your best interest.

An abuser blaming the victim. Very pathetic and unoriginal.

Maybe if they kept those nuclear weapons instead of believing America would follow the Budapest Memorandum...

That’s one of the things that blows me away here: nobody in the halls of power of any country that professes to care about stopping nuclear proliferation did ANYTHING to backstop the the guarantees of the Budapest Memorandum. That has had the direct result of making it clear to every single country on earth that the deal was bullshit to begin with. Nuclear non-proliferation is dead.

Nuclear weapons are the final word in guaranteeing sovereignty and territorial integrity. Any country concerned about either of those things from anywhere, at any point in the future (Ukraine + anyone non- NATO and non-nuclear on Russia’s border; Japan; Taiwan; South Korea; Jordan; Egypt; Cuba; Canada; Mexico) should absolutely strive for their own nuclear program these days, or at the very least join a pact that pledges mutual defense.

He's still crying because Zelenskyy didn't play ball when he tried to extort him with Congress approved funding and arms support to influence the election he lost on a recorded phone call that resulted in Trump's first impeachment, like the criminal idiot with thin skin that Trump is.

[–] rockerface@lemm.ee 8 points 1 day ago

Uh huh, Zelenskyy "did such a bad job negotiating so far" that Kyiv is still not part of russia. Stupid sexy Zelenskyy.

(I can't believe I feel the need to specify, but this is sarcasm)

Yeah, the solution to being bullied is to just do whatever the bully wants you to do, no matter what the downside will be. Why did you stand up for yourself against the bully? Why are you still standing up for yourself against the bully? I suppose in Trumps world it really is about who bullies him and who he in turn bullies, that is just the way some peoples minds work. They think there is some fixed hierarchy and that "order" must be maintained in their mind. Because if the order isn't retained, they might slip further down in "the order".

As I know the felon he can say that Ukraine started it in the next sentence after admitting that Russia did.
