If you don't beat every boss first try, you're cheating, because you're getting practice which makes the fight easier
Soulslike - Discussion, News, Memes
This is a community for discussion, news, and memes pertaining to the video game sub-genre "soulslike".
Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.
Basic Lemmy-quette applies. Additionally, since flairs don't exist yet, please do make sure to include a marker to denote what game your post is about in square brackets for clarity's sake. An example could be:
[BB] This enemy is so difficult!
or
[DS1] Anyone struggling with the gargoyles?

Me when I cheat on a test (I memorized all of the course material to make it easier)
Buying the game is cheesing. You have to manifest that shit through sheer will alone.
That's right. Just count up, until the checksum is correct.

NERF THIS FIGHT SO I CAN BEAT YOU
Im going through SL1 Elden Ring. I tried to not use the mohg shackle and to 'git gud', but i realised im just going to sleep pot the godskin duo fight later on anyways. Why is one form of making a boss fight easier acceptable and the other is not as accepable?
I use no armour and only unarmed combat because I think using weapons make the bosses too easy.
Not using armor is cheating, because you get light roll
That’s why I don’t use it either.
But you know, that using only one hand is the only right way.
I thought people usually played with their tongues but if you need to use a hand no one’s going to judge.
judges you anyways
