Ohhhhh. With the thing under the platter it looks like a stainless steel dog bowl.

I'm with you there, the ceramic plate has a shade very similar to what steel would look like if it was the side of a dog bowl... And the angle of the photo ties in the illusion of it

that's awesome... makes me want to go to a southern indian restaurant here.

Looks delicious. Do you have a recipe?

This definitely isn't my jam. That dosa looks good but kinda dry/think/crispy, probably to be eaten with chutney. I need something to mop up the curry like roti, chapati or rice. With this I'd be eating chicken curry & dosa, but separately.

A worthy change could be an uttapam (just make the same dosa but thicker) or a neer dosa? That'd be the bomb.

I agree that it looks dry in this photo, and that might have something to so with my camera + the lighting. The dosa pictured in reality is not very thin and crispy and is thick enough to make sure none of that sauce goes to waste.

Likewise, I know a lot of people that would for sure appreciate some chutney on the side, and I love making roti with this instead of dosa as well.

That's good to know! Do you have a recipe for the chicken curry by any chance?

Hmm weird. The dosa near me is always served with the meat/curry inside with it folded over like a calzone. None of the delicious sauces get wasted laying about on the dish.

I personally don't have it that way, but you have my word that none of the sauce goes to waste :)

Absolutely amazing. My hunger is awakened by this picture.
