So what's the best way to get back at your outie? My strategy is to shit my pants at the end of the day right before I get on the elevator.

[โ€“] GladimirLenin@hexbear.net 14 points 1 month ago

Hide rancid food somewhere in the office and eat it just before getting on the elevator. Outie spends all their time shitting out their doodoo ass.

5 o'clock? time to piss pant

[โ€“] LodeMike@lemmy.today 10 points 1 month ago

Helly is so unoriginal lol

Literally just finished episode 7 and opened Hexbear. This show is super good and I also learned that Ben Stiller (the male model) is a producer and has actually been involved in a lot of not-comedy projects for a long time.

AFAIK he mentioned he's been working on Severance for over half a decade. They spent a few years doing casting and set design, plus writing season 2. There were reshoots for both season 1 and 2 and it took them nearly half a year to get season 1 ready for post-production and editing. The strikes threw a wrench in things, too.

I think it's crazy how the actor playing Dylan is basically wholecloth playing Black Stavvy

[โ€“] Belly_Beanis@hexbear.net 10 points 1 month ago

He kinda plays that character in everything he's in. I like him and I hope Severance lets him break out of being typecasted.

i genuinely thought it was stav with star trek makeup on, wtf, i thought his voice sounded the same

[โ€“] miz@hexbear.net 8 points 1 month ago

[โ€“] barrbaric@hexbear.net 14 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Is the full second season out or just the first episode?

[โ€“] Mindfury@hexbear.net 19 points 1 month ago

weekly eps, only ep 1 is out

sucks, i thought Apple released full season drops like Netflix (let me pirate your shit more conveniently you fucks)

[โ€“] oscardejarjayes@hexbear.net 16 points 1 month ago

Not yet, it'll come out gradually. Look at the Wikipedia page for dates.

That first episode twist was masterful

[โ€“] driving_crooner@lemmy.eco.br 10 points 1 month ago

Spoiler

S02E01 was kinda underwhelming, I read somewhere that it was supposed to be S01E10, but they changed, maybe this is why this episode feel weird.

[โ€“] Antiwork@hexbear.net 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

spoilerI think most liberals totally missed the reframing of season 2. They think the "we care about the innies" turn is a way to trick the innies into thinking things will be better now. But it's such a great example of what corporations do to appear to have the workers interests in mind while continuing the same oppressive activity.

[โ€“] driving_crooner@lemmy.eco.br 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Spoiler

I also think that everything they told of what happened to their outies, how the became famous and so on is all fake.

[โ€“] Antiwork@hexbear.net 1 points 1 month ago

Yes undoubtedly.

spoilerIf they're famous then I'm fucking up a good thing for my outie who's living on top of the world right now. Keeping workers subordinate by tying their productivity to the satisfaction of someone else's life is another common tactic to keep workers in line.

Love this show. I might rewatch season 1, since I'm waiting for more of season 2 to drop before I start watching it. Defiant Jazz
