That's actually a boomer opinion, plenty of zoomers send messages full of emotes over text or whatsapp, like this 😁
I know because I'm in my mid 20s and pretty much everyone does that. Maybe a South African thing? I don't know

I'm not talking about using emojis; I use tons of them on Hexbear. I'm talking about 😂😂😂😂 in particular, especially while the user is obviously mad at something.
Nah that definitely happens. I see plenty of 🤣🤣🤣, 😂😂😂, and 😭😭😭 daily. And the cat versions like 😹. Sometimes all of them together. Some of it to hide something they're obviously mad about. But it's all light hearted, it's never like a serious thing.
Might be a local thing.
I see plenty of emojis used by the kids I work with but they don't seem to use that one much at all, but yeah I see the cat one. They like the poop one a lot more.

When boomers put up notices about how "NO ONE WANTS TO WORK ANYMORE" on their small business tyrannies and put 🤣🤣🤣 😂😂😂 around it, that's not very light hearted.
Yeah I mean the kids are being light hearted, the boomers are obviously seriously mad lol.
It's probably a local thing with chat apps like WhatsApp fully replacing text messaging over here
I'm not anti-emoji at all but the "I'M NOT MAD LOOK AT HOW MANY 🤣 😂 🤣 😂 🤣 😂 🤣 😂 I USED" is pure and accordingly uses them a lot.
