Hear hear! The Jerboa app has been great, and @dessalines@lemmy.ml (hope I did that right) has worked hard on it for sure! Some of the posts about bugs and/or feature suggestions have been downright rude imho, so it's nice see them get their flowers, they deserve it! It's nice to see so many new app projects popping up too of course, but so far Jerboa has done great by me, and like others have mentioned, has really eased my transition from RIF. My thumb already instinctively taps on Jerboa now instead of RIF, LOL.

Did the same with boost, muscle memory goes right to Jeroba. I really like the app, going to stick with it. It's already really freaking good.
yeah it's always the people who contribute the least to free software who expects the most.
It can be very grating when people demand that you do free labor for them, while refusing to do it themselves. Open source can feel like a group project, where one person just makes demands on everyone else without helping out.
As a happy user of Jerboa, I say work on it only as much as you want. Take care of your personal well-being as that's the #1 priority.

I wouldn't be using Lemmy/the Fediverse if it weren't for the devs of this app. I hope we can keep it alive as long as possible, like the fediverse itself. Decentralization is why the internet has prospered this far. It would make sense to have a social internet that's decentralized too
Jerboa alone has made the transition from Boost on Reddit to Lemmy and the fediverse incredibly easy.
It's already in the place of RIF.
Same I replaced my RIF with this app and use it daily just as I used to do with RIF. When I get the funds plan on donating.

It took me way too long to figure out what the + numbers meant, but yes super slick and love the color difference in comments. Easier for me to follow and see where I'm at.
It's brand new too, I literally asked the dev for one tap comment collapsing and he added it the next day or so.
As a fellow Software Engineer/architect myself, really nothing but praise for these guys.
Jerboa's been great for me. Sure it's kinda glitchy, but they've already made huge improvements in just a couple weeks. Awesome work devs, now... get back to it! ๐

Yup, Jerboa has been great for using Lemmy on mobile. There are some features I miss coming from Relay, but it's all minor things that don't really impact the overall useability.
Big thank you to all the hard work and the neck break development pace lately!!
What's even better is that the pace of development on Jerboa is extremely high at the moment, there are a lot of features and fixes that are ready to go but have to wait for the next release of the Lemmy server software.

It basically replaced the Relay for reddit app for me. Works pretty good.

The fella (fellas?) behind it did a great job of building the right app to be ready for when the world needed it.
I straight up would not be on Lemmy today if not for the jerboa app. literally my only gripe with it is I think the icon for it is ugly af, but that's just opinion and everything else about the app is great!

Jerboa has been great for me. Helped fill the rif size hole in my media consumption.
I wish there was backwards compatibility though, because I can't use most instances (that are Lemmy 0.17.4) with the new Jerboa v0.0.35-alpha ๐
not sure if I'll stick with Lemmy or Kbin. Jerboa is big plus for Lemmy though
