Maybe ban Russia from the Olympics? Totally, none of this Russian Olympic committee bullshit.

I wonder if the reason Greek stopped conflict during the Olympics was because everyone kept banning eachother.

Yeah, any moment now ...

Sounds a lot like US House of Representatives, but in this case I don’t see why not.

Maybe ban Russia from the Olympics?

They're already banned from the Olympics. Their athletes compete under the "Olympic Athletes from Russia" banner and represented by the Olympic Flag.

I think that's what OP is referring to.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

That gets tricky, because there are a number of other Russian nationals competing under different national banners.

Israel has welcomed the highest number of athletes, with 25 former Russian athletes now competing under the Israeli flag. Serbia followed closely with 19 athletes, while Germany and France attracted 13 and 12 athletes respectively.

Would all these athletes also become banned?

Politicians hide themselves away

They only started the war

Why should they go out to fight?

They leave that role to the poor, yeah

Time will tell on their power minds

Making war just for fun

Treating people just like pawns in chess

Wait till their judgement day comes, yeah!
