This story has been popping up every few months for about the last decade. Usually prompted by someone with something to promote (a dumb phone, a book about downtime, some course )
One problem I always see with dumb phones is they're like $500, which admittedly is pretty dumb.
Wasn't there a minimal phone that made the buzz recently that was ironically, retailing for the cost of a mid range Android smartphone?
