It is if you have enough correct letters in a short word your brain just gives up and it appears wrong. If its a long word and no other words are close enough all the letters go all jumblie until you make the connection then the word makes sense and behaves.
Different dyslexic people have different levels of it but if im not paying attention i get completely wrong words that look completely wrong until i go back because the sentence makes no sense. Then magically its the correct word. Made reading out load in school torchure.
