I have no Idea what this genre of humor is, but I kinda dig it. Cosmic absurdity mixed with internet "haha so random" humor?
Is this post-postmodernism?
We should probably pick a new name for modernism
I propose continuing with modernerism. Post-modernerism, super-post-modernerism, way-past-due-modernerism and so on.
New-Wave Modernism Revival
I've always liked "Steve"..
Not even three comments into a shitpost and I'm already being asked to classify granular neologistic artistic movements. Fuck me.
Art is a lie, nothing is real?
It's a question?
I've heard it referred to as meta-modernism. the writer and director for everything everywhere all at once liked using that term to describe the movie.
feels surrealist? because of how surreal it is?
Sounds a bit like the "john dies at the end" series, I've heard it described other ways but I think of it as cosmic horror comedy
A good example of what things are like I feel is the start of chapter 9 at mcdonalds(if you stop there it won't spoil anything) for the weirdness and then you have stuff like aiming a dog's butt at people like a gun and it being a deadly threat
I absolutely LOVE John dies at the end, wish they would make movies out of the rest of the books. In the meantime, do you have any movie/TV recommendations that are similar?
about 2 cuils
ive been calling stuff like this neo-surrealism since it's surrealist in a distinctly post-internet way
it's called my favourite
I have no idea what is going on here
