Ooh, I had a serial mouse (9 pin) from Microsoft of all companies, in the 90's.
Damn good mouse.
Microsoft used to make good peripherals
I'm still using that mouse, with a 9-pin to ps2 and a ps2 to usb
there must be some noticeable latency on that
