I don't like to give credit to Tesla, but in Texas partnering with Buc-ee's was one of the smartest things they did.
They leveraged an existing business with strategic locations across well-traveled areas, already known as a safe and clean rest stop with palatable food, a place where you would stop to refill your ICE car on road trips, And for a very small investment were able to increase their charging footprint dramatically. Of course, Elon fired the executive that penned that deal.
