I'm sorry but if your bacon is hard enough to stand up straight in a carton of fries like that then it's horrifically overcooked.

I can burn 4 strips of bacon at home without paying $12

I think Americans use a different cut of bacon than the UK and Aus, that is designed to be crispy and crunch when you eat it. But there's no excuse for charging $12 USD for 4 pieces of shitty bacon. I could get like a kilo and a half of bacon for that price!

Even by USian standards that looks overcooked.

I like when my bacon can't be snapped in half. Regardless, $3 a slice is NOT epic.
