Want to get away with murder? Hit them with a car. You might get away with claiming it was an accident, but, even if convicted, the sentence will be a fraction of that you'd get if you used ANY other weapon.

Compare two situations:

  • A man is drunk and high on drugs. He gets into his SUV and down an inner city street at 2-3x the speed limit. He inevitably loses control of his car and plows into another car, killing three people and cripling a fourth. Is this murder or an accident?
  • A man is drunk and high on drugs. He pulls his semiautomatic gun in the middle of a busy square and tries to shoot street signs or something, but instead hits and kills three kids and criples a fourth. Is this murder or an accident?
