Well that and the racist tweets
Context for those who somehow made it to Lemmy but can't do a basic internet search.
It's not that I can't do basic research, but Lemmy is warm and nice, and the rage storm outside is getting worse by the hour.
Thank you for enduring the slop and muck for us and bringing home some relevant context to share.
Hilarious that they blurred out "fuck" but the calls for genocide were totally cool to keep unedited.
Dismember, kill, and spill blood everywhere - Jaws, rated PG (Not even pg13).
Say fuck twice in 2 hours - R
It takes you two hours to say fuck twice? I can do it in two seconds, loser
PG-13 didn't exist when Jaws was released.
I'm not arguing against your point, just clarifying why it is PG.
I declare fisty cuffs! Yeah think it came out right after. R existed though right?
Jaws was released in '75 and PG-13 was created in '84.
It was Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom that was a catalyst for PG-13. It's probably no coincidence that Steven Spielberg directed both Jaws and Temple of Doom.
Jaws came out way before there even was a PG13 rating. And during a much better era for most art.
Tbf kinda hard to document things if they are blurred out. Blurring it would be like putting black censor boxes over the body piles in auchwitz and then showing students the remaining image with the important bits hidden and expecting them to understand what's under the censor.
Don't blur any of it
Agree
But then the lower tweet blurred "kill"
But "All Jews should die" is totally fine apparently.
That’s obviously just an understanding of the circle of life, not a call for genocide. They just don’t want any immortals around, clearly
/s
Ah so they are anti-Jesus
TBF I guess he did die

Kinda bugs me to see the one tweet shared around while missing the others.
Eh I get not wanting to repost a tweet saying “ALL JEWS MUST DIE” on my account
Yeah, but that's really important context before people start cheering hacked elmo.
That’s fair
It's probably because the anti-Trump tweet is the only tweet that is actually reasonable out of all of those. I also think all of the tweets together could actually be used to try and say that anybody who is saying Trump is in the files is just a deranged Nazi. Thus all of them together is bad optics.
Bad optics… I think anyone that defends him isn’t worried about the “optics”
It’s like sharing the tweet just because it looks good by itself feels sorta like picking a bit of food out of a shit heap just because one corner looks appealing and maybe if you just brush a bit of the shit off, that one bit could be palatable.
Wait what?
It got hacked
Maybe Grok did it. Sounds like something it'd say.
Sesame Workshop needs to get off of that Nazi platform anyway.
