Cult-think is a helluva drug.
Man, this notion that "He's a liar, but he lies on our behalf" is way more damaging than just believing he's honest.
Yep. When Vance came out and said "yeah I lied about the dogs and cats in Ohio for votes" (paraphrasing, but I'm happy to dig out a link if someone wants it) and it didn't even move the needle I knew we were cooked.
