Overview:

Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

One commenter asked about the range at 80 mph, which makes little sense considering driving at that speed is illegal in most places, and presumably dangerous.

LOL - what a crock.

Many highways in the USA have a posted speed limit of 80. Don't know what glue that reporter is sniffing.

The article talks in MPH. Here in the UK speed limit is 70mph. I'm assuming 80 in the US is KPH?

No. I wish I could share your optimism in believing the US would ever adopt the SI. Or safe road regulations.

70 is pretty standard in the us, though it ranges from 65-85 ( top end is rarer for sure). Most areas I drive that's kind of the average speed, so there's many people doing 80+ in a 70 zone
