The vast majority of the war in the middle east for the last century has been caused by secular imperialists motivated by wealth and power.
The standard western refrain of "they're religious, so we have no choice but to carpet bomb their cities, overthrow their governments, and destroy their economies" does not count as religion causing the war. Except maybe for the American Civil Religion, and it's equivalent for western supremacists more generally.
so you assert the christian evangelicals that want to bring on the apocalypse doesn't count as religion causing the war.

I do say that, because that's not what makes the secular leadership of the West engage in warfare in the middle east. It's isn't their staunch belief in evangelical Christianity that is making Keir Starmer, Friedrich Merz, or Donald Trump engage in genocide and warfare in the middle east.
