Isn't it the job of the opposition party at this point to propose legislation that outlaws this practice? To run candidates on a platform of reigning in these abuses? To run ads with scary music saying how the government is infringing on liberties etc?
Rural Republicans already fear three letter federal agencies: BLM, ATF, etc. Play to their fears, this very low hanging fruit, Democrats.

Who's gonna enforce it? LAPD and LASD are pissed because they can't join in on the fun and that's why they're trying to kill protesters instead.
