One late night I opted to sign up to NewsDemon and abNZB to dabble into Usenet and done used my personal CC to authorize the payments, how screwed am I?

I obviously don’t intend to renew the services with this oversight, likely going to use prepaid visas from now on however, I have an itch that this will bite me in the ass.

No. I'm not American, the rewards suck here, I'm never getting a credit card. My bank doesn't even offer them :)

Hi, fellow non-american here. I use a prepaid card for online shopping and stuff like this. If there are suspicious transactions I can burn the card and request a new one.

Some onlinebanks even let you generate a new card with the exact needed amout for every transaction.

I have never had a suspicious transaction, because the way payments work here (NL) they always need to be authorised, and recurring payments require a different authorisation that you can of course always cancel. You can't just take money by knowing the card number and cvv (which we also don't have (yet)).

I do have a seperate card for recurring payments that is easily cancellable.
