Image is Israeli interceptors trying and failing to intercept missiles over their cities.
Israel just carried out a widespread bombing of Iran, which has killed a number of senior officials inside Iran (though it seems the leadership is more-or-less intact) as well as a number of civilians. Important facilities have been targeted, but the amount of damage is unknown so far (note that many important Iranian facilities are deep underground, making them both hard to damage but also hard to determine if they are damaged from just satellite imagery, so reports of damage will be he-said-she-said).
It appears the attack took Iran by surprise, given that a residential block was targeted that contained some senior officials - if one saw an attack coming, one would imagine they'd be in bunkers. Nonetheless, like the rest of the Resistance Axis, I suspect that Iran has adapted their military structures to be resistant to decapitation strikes by ensuring that replacement figures are ready to take the place of killed officials.
Iran has delivered a massive missile barrage in response to Israeli aggression, even though Israel is continuing to bomb Iran. Iran is now aware of the location of many important Israeli sites, including secret nuclear sites, due to their recent intelligence haul, giving them a distinct edge.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
Simplicius, who publishes on Substack. Like others, his political analysis should be soundly ignored, but his knowledge of weaponry and military strategy is generally quite good.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

Launch the fucking missiles already
The problem with that is that the missile cities are currently being bombed, and evidently, the chain of command hasn't been fully re-established. At least one missile city in Kermanshah has taken serious damage. While the rest of the missile cities might be fine internally, they can't operate with the exits, entrances and silo openings blocked due to bombings.
If Iran could launch the missiles already, they would have. I'm sure they had the full intention of doing so.
There also seemed to be secondary explosions on piranshahar
Yeah I saw that. But I think that's a missile production facility/factory and not one of the underground missile facilities/cities. Could be wrong though.
Thanks for the correction.
I was under the impression Iran had hundreds of launch silos peppered throughout the mountainside regions. Surely Israel hasn't suppressed them all.
They do have hundreds, if not thousands of missiles ready to go capable of hitting Israel, but most of them are located at underground missile cities in Western Iran, centralised at a few big ones. The Tabriz facility for instance is 50 000 square kilometres I think?
Israel reportedly carried out hundreds of airstrikes in the first wave alone.
You have a point that Iran should've dispersed these missiles from the centralised missile cities, but such an action would have immediately been picked up by US intelligence.
This argument goes out the window as soon as you are under Israeli mass bombings.
You are at war whether you like it or not. Has nothing to do with me on the sidelines, they either will defend themselves or cease to exist. For some reason it seems like Iran prefers the latter lately. They have acted far too naive and conciliatory and now it’s biting them in the ass. Me pointing this out isn’t a “boast”, it’s analysis in the hopes of maybe next time taking threats seriously and taking more severe steps against treasonous elements.
Iran being caught off guard and muzzled isn’t because of the IRGC or hardliners. It’s because of the reformists and soft hearted liberals, the populations that involve themselves with Mossad sabotage. The problem wasn’t the extremists or hardliners, it was the soft hearted naive liberals.
I am in total agreement.
It wasnxt off guard either because the Entity has been telegraphing it very publicly with the major embassy evacs and over a weeks of not so nebulous major media stories about something going to pop off because Pissreal got embarassed over the leaks or whatnot.
