The difference is that you're a rational human being. These people are not, so trolling drives then into a frenzy.

Most normal people would not have even acknowledged the "they're so weird" comment from last year's campaign.

Exactly my point. Trump reacts to trolling, we've seen it a million times. It doesn't matter what a rational person would do and we need to stop pretending he's a normal professional person because he's not and neither are his followers. They respond to dumb shit because its what they understand. All this "rise above" shit does is help them. The whole fucking reason they love Trump so much is because he does a good job at bullying the people they don't like.
