I have an old scythe that was passed down to me by a friend's father-in-law before he died around 20 years ago. I would not want to ever get in the way of that thing if it was swung with malicious intent. It is very much a "fuck everything in this particular direction" type of weapon.

Wait....the grim reaper DIED???

I didn't even know that was an option...

Works just like Tim Allen's "The Santa Claus".

If that were true I'd actually be kind of happy... I can't say why without putting myself on a list though.

America might just end up with free healthcare after all :)

Having never seen the movie, ya know, since it's a Tim Allen movie, I can assure you that I'm entirely unclear what we're all thinking.

Is it something to do with the Grim Reaper being unfunny and quite frankly baffling and confusing how he keeps getting work? Because I always wonder why ABC in the early 90s was trying to decide who should star in their new family friendly sitcom, and they decided to go with the guy who got arrested a few years prior for cocaine. I mean seriously. HOW do you get arrested in the mid-80s for cocaine??? How big of a bender do you have to be on for cops to single you out in the 80s for cocaine??? Then again, the 80s were a weird time. I'm still trying to figure out how Paul Rubens got arrested for jerking off in a jerk off theater.

.....what were we talking about? Oh yes. Taxes. The trump tax is too high, and too stupid that it exists. What do you mean you've never heard of trump tax? Oh, fine. "Tariffs". Whatever. It's an arbitrary tax set by trump, and repealed by trump for his own personal gain. I call it trump tax, so that EVERYONE knows exactly who benefits, and why it exists....or doesn't exist. Depending on the day. You should start calling it trump tax too. Lets make that a thing.

....what were we talking about again? Oh right. The weather. FUCK CLOUDS!!!!

I think that’s sort of how it works in diskworld with death but it’s been a long ass time since I read those books.

Mhmm, quite inconvenient for everyone. You can learn more in Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett.

Now I'm starting to wonder if maybe that's where he got it from... It's very old. Maybe the reaper came and he managed to swipe it and gave it to me before the reaper had a chance to come back for him with a newer one.

Grim reaper got mugged. Charon won't be happy.

Using a one hand scythe to cut an overgrown yard is an experience I never want to forget. It's shockingly effective.

Yup, they are very effective. Mine is a large two handed one with a curved handle (aprox 5 feet) and blade about 3 feet long, for taking down crops. Even slightly dull not many things put up much a fight with that blade and a good swing.

Similar to this one, except my handle has been whitewashed and has a bit more of a curve. https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NzY4WDEwMjQ=/z/iwUAAOSwwJ5dvFxp/$_86.JPG
