It always astounded me, living in Arizona, how much time people had to spend fighting back against decisions made by the people they voted for. And then how the people they voted for were always guaranteed to stop voter referendums from being enacted. Makes me almost think that it's their fetish or their identity to have their terrible people in power then go "ugh, government is the worst". Being able to complain about shit government is all they have going for them.
These are people who are estranged from their own families, whose jobs are vestigial and who have lived lives of completely unearned luxury and comfort far beyond what any other "commoner" has had or ever will have again in history. They have nothing else to do but to literally create problems for the world to give them some sense of imagined purpose.
The more I'm alive here the more I think these dumb bitches vote for terrible politicians because they love the drama.
Irs why they want to "drain the swamp" but the inability to recognise a charasmartic grifter from a competent administrator means they repeat the same mistakes.
